"Slam" Chowder

 

This soup is called "slam chowder" because you just slam everything into the crock pot and let it simmer. Easy peasy!

Ingredients:

​

  • 1 can whole kernel corn, with liquid

  • 1 can peas, with liquid

  • 1 can hominy, with liquid

  • 1 can seasoned, stewed tomatoes, with liquid

  • 1 can Rotel, with liquid

  • 4 oz. can chopped green chiles, with liquid

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can chili without beans

Method:

​

Put all ingredients in a pot or crock pot. Simmer about 30 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally. Serve with cornbread or corn muffins.
