M.L. Bush's Milk Punch

During the holiday season, eggnog seems to be the seasonal drink of choice, but not everyone is so keen to the eggy beverage. If you want to get in on the holiday spirit and sip on something else, try out this Milk Punch recipe from the family of Bush Daity in Jones County.

Serves 8-10

​

1 gallon whole milk 

1/2 gallon quality vanilla ice cream 

1 pint heavy cream 

1/2 cup simple syrup

1 tablespoon vanilla

1-1/2 teaspoons nutmeg 

Cinnamon, to taste 

Rum flavoring, to taste

Mix all ingredients in a large punch bowl, Serve over ice and garnish with dusting of nutmeg and vanilla bean, if desired.
