Annual Food Truck Festival Set for May 16th at Mississippi Museum of Art

JACKSON, Miss. —The Mississippi Museum of Art recently announced expanded hours for its annual Food Truck Festival, now in its sixth year. This year, the May 16th event will begin at 11 a.m. to include lunch service. The event is free and open to the public.

"Since it began in 2014, the Food Truck Festival has been a popular part of our May Museum After Hours, a monthly event that that occurs every third Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The Festival has grown tremendously in popularity over the last five years, and this year, we decided that expanding the hours to include lunch service was the next logical step in giving even more diners the opportunity to visit downtown Jackson for a fun and tasty outdoor event in our beautiful Art Garden," said Museum Director of Events Shelley Yates.

The Museum is now taking applications for food truck vendors for this year's event. Vendors will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested vendors should contact Shelley Yates at syates@msmuseumart.org or call 601-965-9928. Applications may also be downloaded from the event page.

The 2019 Food Truck Festival is generously sponsored by Hinds Behavioral Health Services.
